I use MS word/spell check so much that I'm beginning to rely on it. Nevermind having to try to spell correctly when writing a paper, I usually just leave it alone and click spellcheck at the end. I really noticed it yesturday when I was filling out a job application and couldn't for the life of my spell supposedly.

Of course being the douche that I am, I blame Bill Gates and the invention of spellcheck, and thus will be sueing him for all his fortunes .

Any of you guys suffering from the same fate?

I find my spelling has gotten worse since auto-spellcheck was added to MS Word, but it's still pretty good.

Actually he has a point. I never use spellcheck or grammarcheck in Outlook and it changes my wording to past tense or substitutes another word while I type. Many a times, I have sent my mail out without checking it which makes me look like a goof.

i don't use it so often as i don't need it. (;)) JK. the problem with it, is that it doesn't understand what you're trying to say. the grammar checker sucks. the spelling is OK though...

Heh, the guy from Xerox who is credited with inventing spell check came and spoke at my college graduation. Its was pretty funny - he got the biggest cheer and a section of my class started shouting 'Spell Check! Spell Check!"

I think alot of people suffer from poor spelling these days
