My speakers crackle and pop everytime I turn off the light

whenever I turn off my or the flourescent lights in my sister's rooms, the speakers make noise, which I cant really describe. It's pretty loud and sounds like crackling or popping. Is this dangerous and what can I do about it? I'd like to get rid of the sound whether it is harmful to my speakers or not, since it is also extremely annoying

Go pickup a line conditioner that will filter out the power to your speaker system. They have them at Radio Shack and most Audio stores.
