MY SOUND IS GONE!!!!!!!

I finally got my Voodoo 5 5500 PCI working, but after I got it to work, I lost my sound. It is an onboard soundcard. The drivers somehow were removed after I put in the voodoo 5 and now it doesn't detect the sound chip anymore. Does anyone know how this happened and how to fix it?

Your onboard sound may not like sharing IRQ's with another device. Check to see if it is using the same IRQ as your video card. If so, change the IRQ's or change the slot which your video card is mounted on.

Hmm, what did you do to get the V5 working? You didn't mess with the BIOS did you? Um, you could boot into safe mode and remove the sound card from system devices and then see if it gets detected after that.
