So I've been doing a Sopranos marathon in my spare time for the past couple of months, I'm to the end of season 3 coming to season 4. I didn't start watching religiously until the middle of season 3 and so I'm loving watching all the backstories I missed in the first two and a half seasons.
One thing I noticed is the prevalence of eggs as a harbringer of impending doom. I noticed it especially in the 5th season but there are quite a few references to eggs in the first three seasons as well. It seems as though whenever someone important gets whacked, dies or seriously hurt there is always the mention of eggs right before hand.
In the 5th season, Tony steps on eggshells before he kills Tony B., Adriana gave Christopher scrambled eggs before Sylvio killed her, and Carmine was eating egg salad when he died.
Seems almost like the oranges bit in the Godfather...very interesting. Anyone have any other times they noticed?
