OK I think I will finally go with an nforce4 motherboard. So far I've counted five recommendations for DFI, two for MSI and zero for Asus.

Since my priorities are more about stability and my pc being quiet and not so much about overclockability, do you guys think I should still choose DFI? And i'm quite surprised that there's no recommendations for the Asus A8N-E, is it because nobody as tried it or because it simply isn't that good?

Thanks again for your help!

Another thing that worry me is the noise of this future computer. Can someone tell me which components could be a problem on that level. I know that the fan on the video card and the one on the motherboard are a little bit loud. I could buy new fans but I don't like the fact of loosing my guarantee. I'm thinking of waiting for the new Sapphire ultimate which will have a different fan but for the motherboard I don't have any idea.

The only things I hear in computer is the constant hum of the extra 120mm TT fan I bought and sometimes the HD. My 6800GT is actually fairly quiet with the stock fan.
All this is in a Sonata case which right now has free shipping from Newegg. You could go with this case and save some money.
