My son was born on Friday @ 10:30am. I'm happy to report that both my wife and son are doing great, they will both be leaving the hospital this morning to come home. This is our first child so any tips from parents are definitely welcome.

Actually, he only cries when we're changing him into a new diaper, he gets cold and lets out a loud cry, but as soon as he's changed, he goes back to sleep. He's been a very good baby so far.

my tip.. sleep early, and sleep often.. if you have a chance, sleep whenever the baby does.. cause he will wake you up at 3am in the morning.. he doesn't give a rat's a$$ if you need to wake up at 6am to get ready for work.. hold him as much and as often you can.. they grow up fast

Thanks again everyone, their discharge got moved to 4pm so I'm back home getting some stuff organized before I head back to the hospital and pick them up.



rh71, actually ciscotek is my username everywhere else except for this forum because I started using ciscotek after I joined this forum, although I have been thinking of putting a request at Forum Issues to change my username.

Actually, no, the stress over the weekend and all the excitement caused a major breakout 🙁 All is good though, that was 2 days ago 🙂
