My skin is oozing fluid.

Even while using a sun screening agent, i am burned and the skin on my forehead is burned enough to ooze fluid and starts to blister up. I stayed out of the sun today.
I do not have serious blisters. It looks strange but it happens

Long ago, i got burned enough that i had first degree burns on my face and blisters and my skin is oozing fluid to prevent cracking of the skin while new skin is formed underneath. That is the strange thing with me. I get part of the symptoms of second degree burns but i do not get the pain or fever side effects. The doctor at the time looked surprised that the way i looked did not cause any pain or discomfort at all. I was just extremely ticklish when the doctor touched my burned skin with a cottonswab. Skin on my arm and legs is more tight than usual.

One thing, if i get any more whiter, i will turn translucent.
But now i look like a red lobster for a few days.

Us white people are silly. While every black person with a skin fill of melanin is trying to stay out of the sun, us white folks get into the sun every time.

Forgot to mention that in the past example above, when i burned my face, the next morning the skin on my forehead came loose when i washed my face. My skin was hanging in front of my eyes and had to fold it back up. It sticked to my forehead and i had no scaring after healing and replacing the burned skin. That was when i decided that i may be better of seeing a doctor.
I looked like a snake shedding its old skin.

D^:

I'm outside all the time, so I don't burn bad under normal circumstances. A day on the water will work me over though. I try to stay covered, but long sleeve shirts suck when being active and sweaty. Pretty much a tshirt, bdus, and boonie hat all summer.

Yeah, the thing is that there was a very strong wind yesterday, so it did not feel hot at all.
It was 27C (80F) outside at least with full radiating sun and no clouds, pure blue sky.
The last time i got burned so bad, i was at the pinkpop festival (Landgraaf) about 195km land inwards.
The humidity is much lower there so, i did not experience the heat as much as when i am in the west of the Netherlands near the sea coast.
That is always the problem with me. When i feel the heat, i go seek shelter into the shadows immediately. But when i do not experience the heat, i always forget to take shelter.

Yep, i really need to be more careful.
In general speaking, no matter what shade of skin tone a person might have, we are all susceptible to melanoma skin cancer caused by too much UV radiation.
Better to prevent than treat.
Luckily, i normally stay out of the sun to prevent sunburns. I do not want to help my personal statistics the wrong way.

I am also oozing fluid. It's clear and salty.

It happens at the same time every couple days, when I go to the gym.

I've had my fair share of sunburns being a ginger lol. I tend to be much more careful now days. Typically I sunburn when I am caught off guard in a situation where I was not planing to be in the sun and didn't have sunscreen on me. It's not something I just carry around. I put it on if I plan to be in the sun and that's that.

A few years ago was at a family reunion at my parents' house and we were all sitting in shade then everyone decided to move to the sun and there was no shade at all within that area. I asked my mom if she had sunscreen and all she had was SPF 15. I burnt so badly. Had I known though I would have drove home to go put some 60 which works for me.

That was just as painful as it looks too. I had to walk like a robot for a few weeks.

I've had much worse ones as a kid. I was less careful about being in the sun too long when playing. I've had the ones where they bubble up and peal off.

I do this nonstop in the summer heat. I do not even have to do something that requires effort.
I am build for the cold. i wear a shirt and no jacket when it is 19C.

Yikes, that looks painful.
You are really red. Like you got boiling water over your leg.
My legs and arms look red too but a different shade of red. More red brownish. I have a lot of freckles and lentigines over my body.
When i was a kid, other kids would ask me why i have all these brown spots on my arms and legs. Although i have none in my face.
With me the red brown shade remains for a couple of days, then i turn white again within a week. My face is really deep red but looks nothing like your leg.

The trick is to just never go outside. Being white and pasty is where it's at.

Interesting. I wonder what the mechanism is about keeping a blister forming skin hydrated.
Must be similar as when having a blister from a burn. The fluid might help cells move around faster and decrease the time it takes to heal. Makes me wonder...
I am drinking lot of water, at least 2,5 liters a day minimum in the summer.
I do not like dehydration symptoms.

I dunno, they drained my bigass blisters when I was in the burn unit daily.

That used to happen to me a lot when I was younger. Sometimes they can get golf ball size. I couldn't wear a shirt for a week because of it one time.

I'm a quarter Mexican so generally don't have many issues with sun burns. Peeling skin is fun though.

That is interesting.
The sun screen agents based on titanium dioxide is interesting. Titanium dioxide is known to be a photocatalyst. It releases free radicals when radiated with uv light.
There are self cleaning tiles and paints with titanium dioxide that use this principle to be labeled anti bacterial. Just use a strong UV source and any bacteria or virus is finding itself in a predicament because the free radicals will interfere with the normal operation of the bacteira or virus being present on the tile.
Is having a skin exposed to free radicals not dangerous ?
Free radicals increase aging of cells it seems.
