my sis is on mac g4 wiht i think 768ram and 10gig hard drive (we got it for $50) so she wants a bigger drive she needs maybe 15 more gigs but i figure she can get a 80 for almost the same price. so are basicly all ide drives compatable with macs? i figure ill get the cheapest 80 gig avalable. i just want to make sure they are compatable.

As far as i know, a mac still uses IDE.......so yes, any IDE hard drive will work

Since you have to work on the thing anyway, take it out and look what it is. Can't go wrong that way.

if you're going for cheap check the fs/t forum. 80GB hard drives go for $35 shipped there.
