My sister has a bad habit of stealing. In her mind it is OK for her to take things that belong to others and use them without the owner's permission. One of the people she steals from is me. She takes my money, my school-related items (pens, pencils, calculators, paper, etc.), video games, pot, CDs, and almost anything else she can get her hands on. The biggest thing that bothers me though, is that she takes my clean clothes to wear. Today she took my Old Navy rugby shirt.

So, to teach her a lesson, I went into her room and took ALL her clothes (it added up to three full Glad garbage bags) and took them down to the local Salvation Army and donated them all. Everything. Every last article of clothing including socks, underwear and bras. Everything.

I might get into a little bit of trouble. Probably. But I don't care. I'm tired of her stealing my stuff. Hopefully this will teach her somewhat of a lesson. If not, oh well, it's funny.

If pot is considered a "school-related item" I think you have more problems than the petty theft of clothes.

That's what I'm thinking. I realize you're pissed, but it's going to cost her/your family mucho dinero. Expensive lesson.

Move out. That was the only way I could get my brother and sister to stop "borrowing" my stuff.

That was REALLY dumb and unbelievable so I'm pretty sure you made the whole thing up.

I was in a similar situation once...my older sister used my good razor on her legs and when I irritatedly talked to her about it, she smirked and said, "So? What are you gonna do about it?"

Bad move, sis. Grabbed her arm, dragged her to the front door and threw her out. Parents weren't home so for a good 50 minutes or so she was outside in the cool autumn air trying to get back in without being seen in her messy state. In the end I did catch some sh*t but you can bet that she's never forced me to an ultimatum like that again. ;)

AmazonRasta says: Dudes...I'm so screwed....my sister gave my car to a bum. Yeah, a BUM. She called me from her cell phone and said "look out the window" and when I did, I saw her hand my car keys AND the title to some greasy-grimey homeless dude w/a bottle of MD 20/20 in his pocket and he drove away!!! What am I gonna do?

i'm calling bs on this one. lets see some pics, there must be a receipt from the consignment store, or a few pics of her empty room... any kid with half a brain would realize that doing this would lead to severe punishment by the rents.

For all of you people who are saying I'm punishing my parents, you must worry not! They are aware of my [edit]SISTER'S[/edit] dirty habits, and have warned her that if I retaliate, they will not be held accountable and will not refill her closet.

OH GOD! NOT YOUR SISTER TOO!

My elder sister would constantly take my tshirts and sometimes my brother. I remember she bought me these two tshirts and then asked me if she could try them on.. next thing i know they are sitting in her cuboard. I managed to pinch one right before i left india.

Now a days she doesnt do that.. but I am sure she will pinch my christmas tee if she finds it.. she is arriving in about another 10 days..

I didnt take the drastic step of throwing out the stuff.. i wish i had.. but then i would have to break teh lock on her door.. i didnt have a lock on my cupboard.. so she had free access.. at one time i thought of putting a lock / bolt etc .. but then i figured let her take it.. at some point she owes me for all those clothes she stole.

I'm going to second this.

ZV

EDIT: Due to recent developments in this thread, it is now incredibly obvious BS.

I never said it was a school related item, I just listed it as one of the things she has stolen from me.
