To the people who say the OP should call the cc company and not deal with the door, have you ever actually took off a door panel? I did it in my car (2003 Ford ZX2) and it took all of 15 minutes to do. It took an extra 5 minutes because I have a manual window and I had to take the crank off.

lmao listen fvcker. It may not be that difficult to take off the door panel, but it certainly isn't a 10min job as you claim it to be it's atleast a 30 min job maybe more for the average person.

It's not just about removing screws, but you do realize there are a bunch of fasteners (which is the biggest pain in the ass) and what not. Also cars door levers are placed and connected in such a way, it's a pain in the ass to work on them, when taking them off and on.

So don't come in this thread calling me a dumbass.

Just because you might be driving some piece of ****** that may fall apart removing a couple screws, doesn't mean other cars are that way. Some of the new cars are much more complicated than that.

It's not easy to take off just by removing screws is because there are multiple fasteners in place. You have to take them out in a certain way or you'll end up breaking them if you put some force to it.

everyone who is saying taking off a door panel is risky and could ruin stuff has just never done it and is scared to do stuff themselves. I've taken the door panel off of like 3 different types of cars. it's all generally the same idea. you find the screws you need to unscrew and unscrew them then take the panel off, peel back the plastic crap and voila, you are inside the car door.

Basic Instructions Here.

BTW..those are instructions for replacing the door handle on a 1993 Camry. The new one may have more trim to work around to find the screws. Just be sure that where it says not to worry about cracking the trim and doing the extra crap....actually worry. You want to be careful not to damage anything since you're not replacing anything.
