My Shuttle XPC Died

So I come home one night to find that TONS of my scheduled recordings have failed. The system is basically fvked up...and I missed futurama and ATHF:|

I open firefox...I geta BSOD :|
I reboot, it gets stuck after the vid card post, and doesn;t post at the bios.
I reboot, it makes it into windows. 10 seconds after login, I get a BSOD (flashes to quickly to read)
I reboot, and I get a parsing error at the login screen. As I am logining in(as I am physically typing my login info, it crashes. This final reboot finally got me into windows. I check the event manager, and it is FULL of failures of just about everything. 🙁

..and of course it crashes. 😕

I had some free time, so I took it apart. POS is dead🙁 I took out everything minus the CPU, the vid card and the RAM, and nothing. I even tried the on-board video.....nothing. Worst, I tried getting the dman thing to beep by taking out the RAM and eventually the CPU..nada. Maybe the system has no speaker, but it never posted.


So I really have nothing to do today, and all my music and video is on the PC. All I have is my lappy


I had left today as my "watch the weeks shows" day, and alas, that will into happen🙁
What should I do with my day?


I have to go drop something off at school, and then I have to go to the gym, but other than that i have nothing to do....maybe I'll rent LOTR: ROTK..I still haven;t seen it🙁
 
Can you try the cpu, vid card and ram in a friends machine sometime? If they work at least you salavaged something.

Any reason why it died? power shock or something?

Hope you can get your data back. It will probably work in another machine unless the HD is busted 🙁

It has been good to me until now. Extremely fast. Extremely quiet. Full featured(sound storm is NICE and the nforce chipset itself is even better)

I want to try the CPU in my DAD's machine, but I really don't want to risk it. Even so, the machine should boot and at least give me an error🙁 It doesn't even do that. Booting is the same whether or not the CPU and RAM are not in.


As for the Harddrive, I have high hopes and am pretty sure it is fine.
