My shoulder is killin me...

I went to the doc today and he loaded me up with xylocaine. I blew it out at work in June and it hasn't gotten a whole lot better.
My doctor (who I'm quite certain is a witch doctor dropout) insists it's old age. When he told me that I said "Sheeeeee ittt Doc, I shoulda known!!!". He doesn't like me much now.
Any of you guys been through shoulder problems?
I blew a rotator cuff when I was 18, but that got fixed to some extent.
This isn't the same deal.
What's down the road for me?

yeah, it is actually. I coach a couple girls softball teams and spent a lot of nights with the ice bag on it.
If it fell off, it'd be a huge improvement.

Go see the doc that the famous sports folx go to for shoulder injury.
If you need surgery, it won't be completely healed until 9 months is up. If you don't take care of it after surgery, you are screwing yourself future-wise.

I did that about 10 years ago with my left shoulder. Saw Charlie Burke, he took care of the Penguins at that time. 10 years of screwing around and I had it fixed in three or 4 months.
Problem with this one is that I hurt it at work and the comp folks told me who I have to see.
It'd probably be better going with my own doctor on my own insurance and let them fight it out.

It was xylocaine. I checked the bottle. He left it sitting on the counter and I had to see what was up.
I'm going to call the comp people and see what they say about a second opinion at this point. I already bounced it off the lady who's taking care of my case and she wasn't very receptive.
Had he not made some attempt to go in a positive direction today, I had planned to charm him.
Now I'm not so sure he doesn't mean well, even if he's a lousy doctor.
