Getting married, and so me and my fiance went Tech shopping for our new house.

We got a TV: Panasonic 50in LCD - Not plasmas, but very thin
Tivo 80hour
DVD player - Sony
VCR- Sony
XBOX - some games
DVD's, &Music CD's
Panasonic Palmcoder Camcoder - Very awesome price, and size, and performace

We'll end the week with:
Digital Camera
PDA for me - Circuti city has the toshiba e755 for $300 good buy?
Sound system - Looking for small Bose speakers as room is a problem. I didn't want to pay $1000+ for speakers, what other speakers you reccomend that are small like the bose.

What did you guys buy

A good set of "small" speakers for you could be Energy's. I don't know what they call their set now. A few years ago they were the Take 5 or something like that. Check 'em out. Should be about $600 for the whole set. If you want to go cheaper the Onkyo HTIB is a good deal for about $500.

I move in to the new house in 20 days. I get marry in 16 days.

The bose speakers are more stylish than the Onkyo HIB.

I want something small because the Home thather room is small, the Bose speakers would fit perfectly.

I was thinking that i'll wait until, everything is ready in terms of furniture, and when I move in.

Eh, to each his own. As long as the components don't look cheap and tacky I'll take function over form when it comes to HT.

Did you have money for all that saved up? Thats a lot of buying, hehe. I'd slow down if I were you, but then again, you probably have a ton of money :p

Just curious, but usually when most people get married they don't have enough money from the start for a 50in LCD along with Xbox, PDA, camcorder, digital camera, tivo, and a dvd player. Are you taking a loan or did you save the money?

I have the money for the Bose speakers, however i don't feel right spending it. Not that i don't like spending.

Question what else is good to get in Tech?

I'm getting a External DVD Burner 8x plextor for the laptop, and got a gameboy Pocket for the honeymoon.

Check this site out - The HSU Ventriloquist VT-12 system for $249, plus the cost of a subwoofer ($349 - $449). HSU makes some very nice gear. :)

HSU Research VT-12 Speakers

if you just bought a 50" tv and basically a fullon entertainment center, why would you think about skimping on speakers now? a good set of speakers will far outlast your tv

I certainly hope you don't plan on using that gameboy during your honeymoon. You and your bride should be keeping each other occupied with other activities...

WTF???? That's at least $5000 worth of stuff!! (Well, by the end of the week.) WHY?

PLease tell me that you are moving into a brand new house with a warranty. Otherwise, you're going to be kicking yourself when a water pipe bursts and soaks that new 50 in. TV and you don't have the money to buy a new piece of pipe....
