The sata hard drives wont give you much performance increase being at 7200 rpm. If you go sata i would go for a 10k version... raptor...
The A64 will be good for gaming but video editing i would go intel. You could do it with the a64 just get plenty of memory say 1 gig.
The video card is a good one I would just buy the ati one for 3 dollars more. But thats just my preference.
Other than that it all looks ok.
BTW:I will never buy a hitachi drive. Pure JUNK>

Awesome rig IMO.

Your RAM needs to be at least 1GB.

If you have the money...why not get a X800 Pro? For gaming a 9800 Pro is perfectly fine to me though. but the X800 Pro is 2x faster for 2x more cash...you may want to consider that.

SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Unless you are paying under $170 for this card, I would wait until the impending price drops.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor - Retail

two drives for RAID: Hitachi 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model HDS722512VLSA80, OEM Drive Samsung Spinpoint drives perform better and are quieter. See if this is an option.

SONY Black 1.44MB 3.5inch Floppy Disk Drive, Model MPF920, OEM

Lite-On White 8X DVD+/-RW Drive, Model SOHW-812S, OEM NEC 2500 or 2510

Thermaltake Black Xaser III Super Tower Chassis, ATX Super Tower, Large Side Windows, With 7 fans and Lock+(W0009)420W Power Supply, Model "V1420AU" -RETAIL

GIGABYTE "GA-K8NNXP" nForce3 150 Motherboard Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket 754 CPU -RETAIL I would go for a K8T800Pro or NF3-250 based board instead.

The 2nd generation are far better. Better features, onbaord goodies , overclocking overclocking and overclocking. Maybe even a little better in stock performance.

If you're not an overclocker, don't hang around these forums too long. If you do, odds are you're going to become an overclocker ;)

By the beginning of June, maybe by the end of May. More than worth they wait in my opinion.
