I did a sq local stats and got this:

Setiq stats for..: (null), Revision .78b
Seti user........: <>, id 0
Results Per Day..: 1, averaged over 1 day
Queued Results...: 4, clients 1
WU Queue ........: depth:4(days), min:1, max:8, queued:0
Auto connect.....: at 3:08
Connect Status...: connected

Client Ave Last Diff
ME...............: 31:40:38 15:04:55 16:35:43

What the hell is it doing? One of my clients just tried to connect to it and the SetiQ window says

9/26 Tue 1:58am sah ME -> qresult.8 15h02m35s +35%
9/26 Tue 1:58am sah ME <- user_info
9/26 Tue 1:58am sah wake srv
9/26 Tue 1:59am sah duplicate result ignored
9/26 Tue 1:59am sah ME <- user_info
9/26 Tue 1:59am sah wake srv
9/26 Tue 2:00am sah duplicate result ignored
9/26 Tue 2:00am sah ME <- user_info
9/26 Tue 2:00am sah wake srv

WTF is going on? The client says "Can't connect to server; will try again (Error -20;0)"

Anybody help! This is ridiculuous! 3 days on this and I still can't get it to work. It really shouldn't be this hard :(

Well it's working now. I deleted the C:\Program Files\Seti@home\setiq directory and reunzipped the files there, didn't touch them- left them at the defaults- and its working for now. I musta done something nasty to them to start with :). I will be more careful with my typing and tweaking I guess...?

Just a couple of config questions now. Do I set my work_unit_adjust to the number of Seti clients processing? That is variable throughout the week, but I definitely have 6 machines processing 24/7. Should I set it to 6?

What should I set max_limit and min_limit to? They are commented out right now so should I leave them alone?

I really don't understand how queue_depth and max_limit/min_limit can work together. Must you only set one or the other? Seems like if you had them both on that they would conflict?

Hi Ben,

don't touch the min/max limits, let SETIQ do it.
Set the queue depth to 5 (5 days), and the WU adjust to the total number of clients (whether 24/7 or not). SETIQ will adjust this automatically if it detects a new client.
SETIQ will take your average RPD and multiply it by 2 for the minimum amount of WUs to store and 5 (queue depth) for the maximum.

cheers,

Col.

I tried to get the darn thing to work, so I must be a moron.
I gave up.
I followed the directions on both the SetiQ page and the link that we have on the Team Anandtech
page as well.
error (-20,0) comes up everytime.
Duh

Try what I did! Delete your SetiQ directory and reunzip the setiq files there, don't mess with the config at all, just run them with the default settings and see how it works. That's the ONLY way I could get mine to work. The only config I did is what CollinP said above. It's been operating for about 9 hours now :)
