My SetiQ has run dry

1st - how do you make it cache more units (I forget).

I also cache units on each machine with Seti Driver - but apparently I was short sighted with my new P4 & it will run out by midnight tonight if Berzerkely doesn't come back online with the WU's. My other machines are good up until about noon tomorrow.

Anybody gota bunch of work_unit.sah files to share?

ok, what happens with "User/Insane=TRUE"?
Do you get a few more or a ton more or is there a way to control it?

Well, my queue stops dl wu when it reaches 1600wu queued, after the edit, it starts dl again. You also need to set the Max Queue Depth to something like 20 and the more results send to the queue the more wu are downloaded. The insane setting lets you pass a certain ammount of wu queued, but the queue stops downloading when the Max Queue Depth is reached. So if you use 50wu a day, and the Max Queue Depth is set to 20 days, 1000wu will be queued, if set to 10, 500 will be queued.

Right, thanks - that makes sense.
I expect there to be more outages as we get closer to shutdown time - then I want to have enough in my Q for the time that they stop sending out units but are still receiving them. Seti1 until the bitter end you know...

I'm going out to a remote spot where I have a couple of part time crunchers this week & I'll be removing seti from them at that time - I don't know when I'll be able to get back there. Of course, if this is anything like the past April 1 will become June or July...

Pleasure! 😀 I've also got remote machines, so I guess I also need to start planning to switch to something else soon...
