my serial ports aren't showing up in device manager?

i have a DFI AD70 motherboard.. i just bought a serial data cable for my phone.. and when i try to run the program it says can't open com port, so i look in my device manager and the only things i have listed under Ports are COM1 and LPT1, and for COM1 the location says PCI bus.. i have 2 serial ports on my motherboard though, anyone know why those aren't showing up?
