Help. All of a sudden my blank screen turned a red haze. It fades a little when I open a window. When I open a full screen window, it disappears. What could this be. I am running Win 98, with a RIVA TNT 2 video card and 128mb RAM. Also, my disk sounds pretty bad when I reboot. Any suggestions would be appreciated. HighJinx.
 
Your problem sounds more software than hardware but when my monitor started losing its colors a little while ago I simply wiggled the connector where it plugs into the video card, tightened the screws, and presto.
 
yea happened to one of my COMPAQ moniters before then found out the whole connecter heads plastic fell off and the interals were all screwy, had to press it agains the card very tightly and hoped it stayed.
