ok, another from work complaint / release post.

i get a call.

cx says, my screen is frozen.

so in disbelieve, i ask, your saying that the entire picture on your screen is frozen.

he says, yes.

i said, can you hit the start button.

he says, ok, but no response, my screen is frozen. i see all my icons, but it's not responding.

so, i patiently explain to him. i do apologize, but this is a pc issue and that we are an internet service provider. that he should speak to his pc manufacturer.

he starts yelling. i mean seriously yelling about how we don't do anything. yadda yadda yadda.

i explain to him again, listen if you hit the start button on your keyboard, and you pc has not responded, this is a function of your PC and has nothing to do with the internet. . .

"do you think i'm a moron" he asks.

well, that was just too easy but i held my cool and didn't respond.

now he wants to talk to another agent.

4 minutes into his call the start menu finally appears.

he says, see start came up. and the internet is working.

i said, yes, that was never in dispute. the issue is, the frozen screen and non responding start button are pc issues, not internet issues.

he demands another agent, i didn't respond, finally he starts to cuss and hangs up.

i get a million of these, but most of them, i just let roll off my back. this one annoyed me because it was clear he was trying to bully me into supporting his pc.
