I need a way to get files off my laptop to the computers in the Computing Center at my school.
My laptop doesn't have a Floppy drive.. so I was going to get one of those USB pen drives.
I remebered the computers in the Computing Center had front USB ports so I thought that would be the best way
to go... considering pen drives dont need drivers or anything
Well, tonight I realized the computers there are running NT ! ARGhgh..
NT still doesn't support USB, does it?
Damn, now I gotta get a serial or USB floppy drive.
I was going to inquire about just hooking up my laptop to the school network, but all the people
that work in the computing center are like computer security nazis, and dumb, too (I've overheard their conversations), so
I figured no chance anyways.. I got yelled at before because I needed to print a Word file I had emailed
to myself (student email account). They have a sign, NO DOWNLOADING ATTACHMENTS. And actually blocked downloading
attachments on the machines.. I added the domian for the student Webmail to IE's trusted sites, and they went ballistic.
What is their problem? The main concern they need to be worrying about is dumbasses putting spyware on the machines..
I swear every one of them has XUPITER as the home page, and tons of Gator pop ups and crap.
