My School's IT guy is in trouble after network failure when teachers were being sent notification emails...

Day started normally.. but then an announcement came on asking teachers to check their email. Problem is, the email system was down! Well rumors leaked out about massive terrorist attacks but the T1 line feeding our school building was overburdened and little information was available which just fed the rumor mill. What a mess..

When it all heppened, I just directed everyone to the TV in the cafeteria. I told everyone to NOT jump on websites since they would be swamped anyway. The data lines were saturated for a while but things quickly got back in control.
