My Sceptre LCD Ticks

I got a 22" Sceptre LCD monitor last month, and I love it. Great clarity, great colors, no ghosting on games. The only thing that bothers me is that it "ticks" when it's off. If it is plugged in, but the PC is not on, it gives out about one tick per second that is clearly audible across the room, so I have to unplug it when I turn the PC off.

This is my first LCD. Do they all do this? Anything I can do about it, other than getting a power strip? Thanks.
