My Samsung monitor won't install!

I finished up installing win2k pro on my brand new computer that I built. I am kind of lacking in the win2k skills department, and i dont know how to get around this problem.

I have an Elsa Gloria II graphics card, which i installed first, then planted all the drivers. It's stuck at 16 colors and it aint pretty. The next intruction is to install the monitor, a Samsung 950p and all it's drivers. I put in the disk, select my monitor, and before i know it i get this error...

"Samsung Monitor Setup: Error occur, while installing monitor adapter(Error code 259)"

I haven't a clue what this means. I'm going to check out the samsung website now, but if anyone knows whats going on, it'll save me a lot of time. thanks

Hmmm.....while I have no answer for you I have a similar problem with the same error message for my 950p.

I have Win2K installed, SP1, and I get no option for any monitor besides Default Monitor. This is with my current Samsung and 2 previous Plug and Play monitors. I have the LeadTek GeForce 2 GTS. Funny thing is, I am pretty sure I had a properly detected monitor back when I had the P3V4X motherboard, but now that I have a new processor and the CUSL2-C motherboard this glitch popped up.

My problem is not as bad as yours in that I have full access to resolution and refresh rates, but it still irks me that this occurs. Anyone have any clues? This problem is present in just about avery Nvidia driver I have tried, from 6.62 (WHQL) up to the currently installed 7.52.

That's strange... mine gets detected as default as well, but I have access to all the resolutions.

The only thing to try is remove all instances of the drivers and try re-installing it again.
