My Samsung Epic 4G internet seems slower than usual...

I recently upgraded to rom EI22 and I noticed that the internet speeds are a lot slower. Does this mean I should try upgrading to a different modem?

Any recommendations?

Ummm, how do you plan to upgrade to a different modem? Did you not know all modern cell phones are one chip with everything on it?
You'll need a whole new phone for that.
 
Do you know which modem you were using before? You should be able to flash and downgrade or upgrade the modem at will. Check XDA and see if others are having the same problem.

There is modem software, he is referring to that. Though I think you may have known that.....

This. XDA will be of a lot more use than here. I used to have the Epic but it has been a while.
 
I haven't had any issues with this particular radio, I run Legendary Rom at the moment but that changes weekly. The only other radio I would use is EC05 for speed and stability but I had problems running that with a GB rom and getting SMS properly.
