I have a P4 1.8A Northwood and i wanted to overclock it i read up on the memory syncing and all of that but i was wondering wat other ppl think i should do for my specific situation
I, also have PC2100 DDR Ram
My CPU VCore is running at 1.5-1.6
I wanted to see what people would recommend to set it to meaning my FSB, Voltage and if anyone would recommend o/cing my ram too in the process

Well, ddr2100 is going to limit your speeds as you get higher. pc2100 should be good for a 133 bus speed (ddr266/pc2100 works at 133), give it a try if you think your cpu can handle it.
 
pc2100 DDR "oficially" runs at 133 ... however sometimes you get lucky. I have had generic PC2100 that ran at 166 without problems. I also have PC2700 that runs at 200. Of course I also had a stick of PC3000 that couldn't handle PC2700 speeds. (though it was first gen "OCZ" systems PC3000, which was really just rebadged PC2100.

What I am going to suggest ...
Just keep increasing FSB until its unstable .. then bump up the CPU voltage .... Repeat until you can not go any further ... then bump it down a couple mhz
 
1.8a northwoods are usualy good overclockers. In most cases you can go to the 133Mhz FSB with the retail heatsink and fan, without it running much warmer than at stock speed, and also on the default voltage. As the others have said pc2100 DDR is made for the 133mhz fsb anyway, so you shouldn't have any problem there. I have 2 1.6a northwoods that have been running at 2.1ghz for over a year on the retail fan, and are no warmer than at stock.
 
yea but theres a problem wen ever i got high it doesnt start its starts i hear it and stuff but the monitor shuts off i har the static ticking and the mouse doesnt start up
then it tells me overclock failed
sometimes it tells me bad bios checksum
i've read that it should at least overheat thats what the only problem could be but it doesnt overheat im running a retail heatsink fan the stock ones im thinking of getting a new one you think that could solve the problem

nope. I dont think a new HS/FAN is going to help you. You prob pushed the limit of your ram or your mobo sucks for overclocking.
