A moderator decided to flex his muscle so I decided not to participate in this forum anymore. There are much better forums for this kind of information.

What part didn't work? I had to update java to get things going.

edit: For just in case: be sure and click on your device under "Name" before capturing the screen shot.

I remember trying to figure out how to screencap through my computer before I rooted. Couldn't really figure it out. Rooting wasn't that hard and it does a lot more than allow you to take screencaps.

Sounds awesome!

BTW....I'm really glad this thread is here. I just accidentally deleted ALL my apps.

Blah

Use APPBrain. You can keep a list of your apps on the phone, and then there is an app on the Android Market that will sync all of your apps back to the phone that you've saved on the website.

ShootMe will allow you to take a screenshot by gently shaking your phone. Works great on non-rooted phones.

It works for me and I am completely unrooted.

What phone are you using? That may have something to do with it.

Edit: ADW launcher's update has this cool pinch zoom preview thing, very smooth.
