My router -- WTF

I have a Linksys WRT54G reflashed with DD-WRT firmware. Anyways, I had my network password protected for as long as I can remember. Just today, the wife's lap top would not connect stating that the permissions have changed (or something along those lines). It turns out that the password was removed from my network somehow. Any ideas on how this may have happened? I highly doubt it was hacked as it is a somewhat obscure password.

The SSID did not change, but it is default -- dd-wrt

Sounds like the entire router was reset (holding in the reset button for 30 seconds). That would take everything back to default, including no encryption, IIRC.

I would change the SSID to something non default just in case that happens again. Also, what encryption were you using?

Using WPA Personal/TKIP. No one in my house would have rest the router. Odd. Maybe I will buy a new router...faster.

I had a similar thing happen but the router password to get into it wouldn't work anymore.

When I find out how this happen it won't be pretty after.
