My roommate was almost raped last night!!

She was walking in the subway alone late last night in Brooklyn and someone ran up behind her and gave her a swift kick in the back and then began punching her in the back and attempted to rape her. She started screaming and fortunately there was another woman in the subway station who heard and started running toward her and started screaming as well. The attacker got all freaked out and took off.

So then they called the police and the police suggested that the attacker might still be hanging around and that she should ride around in the back of the police car and try and find him. So then they cruised around and sure enough, they spotted him ducked down behind a vehicle near White Castle (the burger joint...apparently the attack left him hungry). As soon as he saw the police car, he took off running and like 6 cops jumped out of their cars and ran after him. They were able to tackle him, but not without a fight. Apparently, this guy hit one of the cops in the arm hard enough that the cop needed medical attention. By the time they arrested him and booked him, my roommate told me he was sobbing like a stupid bitch telling the police he was a student (foreign I think). I guess it didn't help that the police were actually taunting him, telling him about all fun he's going to have with his sugardaddies in prison. The DA was telling my roommate that there have actually been a string of rapes and attempted rapes that might be connected to this guy.

Anyway, I hope they lock this guy up and let the inmates have at him and then deport the SOB to wherever the fvck he's from. :|

Glad to hear she's alright... thank god that other woman was in the subway station. It's also nice to hear that they caught the asshole that tried to do that to her.

People like that should be locked up.

Good thing they caught the guy and your roommate is ok. In my book rape or attempted rape is punishable by death.

I hope he enjoys being on the receiving end of an unwanted sexual encounter as much as he was thinking he was going to enjoy the giving end.

Glad to hear she made it through that. Terrible experience. I hope that guy gets raped constantly in prison.

Don't know if it's wise for a woman to be walking through the Brooklyn subway alone late at night. Not saying it was her fault, I mean you should be able to go anywhere at any time of day, but in today's world you have to be cautious.

Yeah, I agree. But this was in Williamsburg which has quite an active nightlife even at 1am so I'm surprised there was only one other person there. Everytime I've been down there, there has always been a cop stationed there even at 3am. I don't know why there wasn't one yesterday...

It's good to hear they caught the rapist. Screaming and yelling always brings attention. If you were outside and saw rapist in action, it would be a good idea to hit the car horn to draw more attention.

It kind of makes me wonder what it was like 2,000 years ago in the world. How frequent or infrequent did rapist do their bad deeds? And how were they punished?

I have to give mad props to the NYPD. They took the assault personally and were really out to fvck the guy over. I wouldn't think they'd send so many cops out to look for this guy when he could be absolutely anywhere (the city is a BIG place). Afterwards, apparently they were REALLY harrasing the guy to the point where he was crying like a damn baby...

that's crazy. As others have said, I hope he has lots of fun in ass-ramming prison. :| glad to hear your roommate's okay. I live near a high-crime area and I'm always afraid I'll hear of something like that happening to one of my friends :(

no i don't...my guess would be the one closest to Williamsburg. She told me that they're gonna transfer him the the central facility soon anyway where all the fun in prison starts.

But get this, the attacker claims that he's innocent. Apparently he admits he came into contact with my roomie in the subway station but that they only exchanged words. However,

1) He took off when he spotted the cop car
2) He assaulted the police when they tried to arrest him
3) He was able to correctly state what my roomie was wearing, including the color of her tights (she was wearing a skirt and overcoat over it at the time).

Whoops...
