My roommate leaves blood in the bathroom

I have a female roommate.

I don't mind. This is not a complaining thread but an observational thread.

She's not here very often and is at her BF's place every night. She's usually only at the apartment for an hour or two at most each day waiting for her bf to come back from work. Otherwise she might not even be back if she gets out of work late enough that he just goes to pick her up.

So I'm cleaning out the bathroom today and I realize I'm wiping off a lot of red near the bathroom. This has happend before, at least the past few times I cleaned out the bathroom. I remember wiping off some red stuff off the sink area before too. There was even blood near the little shelf in front of the bathroom mirror. I don't know how that gets there, but it's like where I put my toothbrush, hair gel, shaving needs. Odd place huh? I think I've seen it at the toilet too. Ok.... bathtub and toilet, I can understand, but sink area? Huh? I then took out the bathroom trash and I realized there was some bloody toilet paper in there too.

This is quite weird. She's NEVER around (except today... I assume she was studying cuz we have 3 midterms next week). I don't really keep track of the days she's actually around, but we pretty much only see each other in class or we talk online to do HW. I was thinking... does she just come around at the right times so that she has her period and makes a mess in the bathroom? Maybe her bf can't stand her for those days and tells her to go back to the apartment. Haha, just a thought.

My roommate's cool though =]

Edit: Pic

It's the shelf near the bathroom mirror.

WTF... menstrual blood? That's fcking nasty. I'd tell her point blank that if she ever leaves blood anywhere besides the trashcan she'll need to be moved out two weeks later. God that's disgusting.

EDIT: That goes for any blood; menstrual or otherwise. What if she has AIDS or something? I wouldn't be surprised if someone who can't clean up their own bodily fluids can't be bothered to use protection either.

Gee, yeah, I guess you're right -- keeping one's toothbrush free of diseased blood that's passed through someone's genitals is too much to ask for. Sorry I implied otherwise.

And more on topic: Gah, that's really nasty. And I don't even need to visualize it for myself, you've provided a picture for me. Thanks! Heh.

Are you sure that's blood? It looks a bit like rust. Do you leave anything metallic on that counter like a shaving cream can?

*IF* it is really blood, when she does have her period from the time she gets out of the shower to the time she puts in a tampon/puts on a pad, she could "leak" a bit, but thats all i can think of.
