Now I really didn't know what the fvck he was talking about. Took me a few minutes to get him to describe what he needed. But before I get into that, a bit of backstory: I come home, the floor in the bathroom is soaking wet, and my roommate has a sheepish grin on his face.
Roommate: "Where is the hole in the floor?"
Me:
--"What hole?"
"The drainhole"
--"What drainhole?"
"There should be a drainhole to let the water out"
"Uhh, no, there shouldn't be."
"Well then how do you clean?"
"With a broom or a mop. I have a Swisher Wet Jet"
"A what?"
"Nevermind. What happened here?"
"Well, I saw that you cleaned the bathroom [I cleaned the shower, toilet, sink earlier] so I thought I'd help by cleaning the floor. But when I dumped the pail of water I noticed it wasn't draining anywhere."
"You dumped what?"
"I dumped water to wash everything down the drain and realized there was no drain. No worries, I will mop it up."
Of course, my last question was, "did you use the bucket on top of the toilet to dump the water?" But he told me he used a bigger one--that one is too small.
Lesson #147 for my roommate: While floors in India have drains, most floors in America do not.
