So i was just transferring an mp3 and the program hung. And I couldn't close it. I let it sit for a while and nothing happened. So I tried disconnecting the rio using the software and it wouldn;t work, because the file transfer program was still 'accessing' it. Anyhow, I ended up turning the rio off and disconnecting the usb cable. Now it won't recconect! It turns on and says 'no tracks' but that's it, and I can;t get it connect to any software I've tried yet. :| I don't know what to do. Probably call customer service tommorrow and bitch and moan.

Rio is suck!

My younger brother and I were given Rio PMP-300s for x-mas 4 years ago when they were all the rage. Their cheap and crappy design means that by now both of them have the broken battery cover problem and I haven't seen any place where they offer to sell the external case.

Maybe Rio 300's suck but the 500's rock. There is a newsgroup that discussed this issue and someone posted a fix. I'm to lazy to look it up for you though
