Aspire PSUs are a joke, I'd never use one. For the system in your OP, I recommend a 500W Silverstone Element. If you wanted room to add another card, then a Corsair HX620W.

BTW, nice author icon :D

Everything is good except
the psu: you changed it to the silverstone... the enhance 5150gh is the EXACT same thing... just cheaper! almost $15.
the dvd drive: for the $$$, just get a dvd burner... nec 3550a maybe
hdd: why not sata? get the 7200.10 seagate 250gb
the MoBo: i'm liking the looks of the asus p5b-e better than abit's offerings
the speakers: invest in a better quality set? Logitech z5500? What's your budget? Does the xfi fatality have 64mb of xram?
vid card: for the money, get a 7900gto... or even a x1950 pro. You don't really need an uber vid card for a 19" monitor.
everything else is fine.:D

EDIT: pkme2, why spend more than you have to? Is there something definitively better about seasonic? Sleaved cables? For $30 more, who cares? (the difference in noise is negligable... they're both 80+ certified)

ace, the Silverstone has sleeved cables, the Enhance does not. But if that doesn't matter to you, a 500W Enhance ENP would be good.

Case: The Raidmax is ugly (personal preference) and probably not built that well. You are also paying for 500watt PSU that is questionable at best and apparently wont' be using anyway. I would suggest the Lian Li PC-7B.

Sound card: Waste of money, especially with those speakers. All modern boards come with very good HD-audio. You can use the saved money to buy some better speakers.

PSU: Silverstone is very good, Seasonic is a bit better. However Enhance actually builds the Element for Silverstone so f you don't mind making a extra stop at eWiz you can pickup the Enhance ENP-5150GH which is slightly nicer for much less.

I agree with your post Operandi, but how would the ENP be "nicer" then the Silverstone? The only difference, I think, between to two is that the SilverStone is sleeved and comes in different packaging.

Well there are actually two versions of the Element, (SPCR reviewed both) one that is 80+, and RoHS certified, the other isn't. The differences are small but the Enhance is also cheaper so....

Raidmax isn't exactly known for making good PSUs so I would reconsider that one.

:(Sorry about that. Just a force of habit. When building rigs for other people, I fall in a rut of sorts. I build them, as if they were for me.
I prefer Fortron, Enermax and Seasonic in that order.
I prefer AMD over Intel but the new C2Ds are making that a very difficult choice nowadays.
All my cases are LLs and mobos ASUS.
Don't mind me, I just IMO think that a little more for nice rig wouldn't hurt, but what do I know. Sorry, I will get carried away in the future.

Yea, the non-80+ is actually made by Etasis, IIRC (like the Zeus's).

Ughh... I don't think so, both are Enhance units AFAIK.

Jonny said it over at Hard|Forums. I believe a more specific statement was that Enhance makes the Element/Striders, but Etasis makes all the 80+ versions.

No no no no no. Why would you build a expensive system then put it on the shoulders of a $40 POS PSU. The PSU that Ace linked to (the Enhance) is a great supply that has a very low failure rate. Suck it up and realize that you do NOT want to skimp out on a PSU, as if it dies, it could take any part of you system down with it (or all of them).
