Not looking to burn bridges, but it's not a happy exodus for me. However, my new job will let me reset the last wasted 7 years.

let me know ...

On Second thought I would change the Sincerely to a "Best Regards"

I always get a fuck you from "Best Regards" in the right situation.

Seems fine. Keep in mind they may escort you out the door as soon as you hand it in, and remember not to say anything negative if they ask for an exit interview.

There is only one space between your first and second sentences. For shame, alkemyst.

:D

Why use three sentences when you can use one? ;)

Dear XXXX,
Please consider this letter your formal notification that my last day of employment at XXXX will be March 11th, 2011.
Thank you,
Alkemyst

No matter how shitty a job was, you should thank them when you leave. It's classy, and doesn't burn bridges.

I know this may be my last day. I am not going to agree to any signing papers or exit interview unless they compensate me.

All they need is this.

View page source. There are two, but HTML eliminates unnecessary whitespace.
It also eliminates essential white space such as one of the two appropriate spaces between sentences. Hopefully the next standards update will address this poor behavior.

I put a reason in to prevent talking more about it.

1) don't want to explain it.

2) it's not a happy leave. I don't want to thank them for anything.

3) I have given them every opportunity to correct this, and could not stop taking better offers to jump ship. I should have done this 3+ years ago.

Much more level headed that mine will be. Then again the last 3 or 4 VP's the have left dropped the F-bomb on the owner on their way out.
