Actually it's the opposite. You hit "activities" and the select the activity you want to do (Watch a DVD, Listen to CD, etc) and it turns on all the devices you need and selects the correct inputs etc. It even remembers what settings are selected and what's on when switching activities.

Not too bad to set up either as its all web based. That was great when I got the replacement. Just hooked it up via USB and got the old profile downloaded to it. Works just like the old one... except the screen isn't all messed up
