My recently acquired (used) mobo refuses to POST, any advice?

I've recently purchased an Epox 8K3A from another forum member, unfortunately, it refuses to POST 🙁

I've tried the following:

- Boot with CPU alone: get "bad or missing memory" beep code
- Boot with CPU + RAM: get "video error" beep code
- Boot with CPU + Radeon 7500 in case: get "video error" beep code
- Boot with CPU + Radeon 7500 out of case: get "video error" beep code
- Boot with CPU + (AGP) Rage128 card in case: get "video error" beep code
- Boot with CPU + Radeon 7500 in case, jumper to 100FSB/100mem, after clearing BIOS *edit* clearing CMOS *edit*: get "video error" beep code
- Boot Radeon 7500 and Rage128 in other computer: no problem


I know the video card is properly secured because I hear the click from the clip mechanism and it feels firmly in place.
I'm going to try to get my hands on a PCI video card tomorrow to try that, but it's starting to look like the board is the culprit 🙁

Any advice from past experiences? Anything obvious I could have overlooked?

Check that your powersupply is strong enough. Try a PCI video card. Then Return it.

OK, thanks for the power supply suggestion, but the power supply shouldn't be at fault since
a) it's a 350W Antec
b) it works fine with the same components (and more) with my ECS K7S5A, a board notorious for being picky about power supplys

- I didn't have the time to pick up a PCI video card today, but I just finished transfering everything back to my ECS K7S5A and everything works flawlessly.
Looks like the mobo is the culprit one way or the other, and a mobo without AGP is useless to me 🙁

Did you clear the CMOS?
