My recent car buying experience.

I got a call the day after we bought the truck that the dealer got me a better rate (6%) and I told him that 6% was our deal, he proceeded to tell me that in order to get this deal I had to sign up with a different credit union and they needed $55, the more I thought about it the more I was pissed. I went into the office and asked to see the paperwork where I agreed to pay additional fees to get a specific rate and he showed me the "contingent upon financing approval", I just laughed and I said this doesn't say I have to pay anything and the finance guy said that if I didn't comply I would have to return the truck, I told him that that would work for me and he asked why would I want to do that, I told him it was the principal of the matter.

I went home and called the wife(since it was her truck) and I asked her what she wanted to do, she said it was my call. I called the dealer and told him the truck was coming back and he told me that he magically got another bank to agree to the terms... what a POS.

Car salespeople are the scummiest salespeople in the world. No other industry has such sh!tty people hawking their wares. I seriously don't understand why some better method of buying cars hasn't come along.
