I orderd the BenQ FP91G+ Black 19" 8ms LCD Monitor on 1/27/06. The $60 rebate states that it must be postmarked within 14 days of purchase. I made copies of the filled rebate forms and UPC on 2/4/2006, and mailed it out the same day.

Now I check my rebate status and it says:

We are currently unable to approve your rebate for the reason listed below.

Your submission was not postmarked within 14 days of the purchase date.

You will receive a letter or postcard describing this problem. The letter or postcard may have instructions on how to correct this error.

WTF?!?!

But that's the thing. I don't have proof. I don't have a post office receipt or anything showing the date of mailing. All I have to go on is the date that my scans were created, which was 2/4/06 at noon, and the fact that I distinctly remember mailing out the rebate right after scanning the form and UPC.

I gave up on rebates a long time ago. Have you tried contacting Newegg?

Leave them a bad Reseller Rating. A CSR will contact you probably within a day or so of it being posted. That's what worked best for me.

This is why I don't do rebates anymore... I'm glad bestbuy is getting rid of them. I had one from newegg for $20, saying I didn't send the UPC's , even though I remember making a copy of them and feeling the upc in the envelope after I had sealed it. I didn't even bother with them, it's just a waste of time in my book. I don't buy anything that has mail-in rebates.
