My really stupid question of the week

Hi all,

I bought a 9800 pro from these boards. I gave my 9600 pro to my nephew for chanukah. (actually I bought myself the 9800 pro fo chanukah and had to do something with the 9600)

It just came in. It had power leads on it. Do I plug these into my power supply or do I just leave them alone. I am clueless.

Many newer graphics cards, like the 9500(?)/9700/9800 series and up, require a molex plugged in to provide extra power. Plug it in.

You must have gotten one of the newer "bio enhanced" versions.
These plugs, do (of course) NOT go into you power supply, but, instead, go in your nose to establish a connection to your brain.

Then download the new ATI "cerebral control panel" (CCP) which allows you to control various settings just by thinking.
You can also adjust the clock speeds of your card now with your ears - pull right year: increase clock speed - pull left ear to lower. Pull two ears simultaneosly: Reset.

WOW! I could watch my video games get faster as I pulled on my right ear!

But..why people were laughing at me, I don't know.. 😕

Thanks Flexy,

I tried your method. But all I got after doing it was a continuous flashing of my computer screen "Flexy is an asshole". "Flexy is an asshole". I guess this is common.

I realize the answer's been given already, but just a small tip:

RTFM.

I've found that going to the manual for help first can be more productive and less time-consuming (and in some cases, less asshole-response invoking) than immediately posting any question you have on a forum. It's when you can't find your answer there that you should seek answers from other sources. Hope you learned your lesson.
