I should make this a weekly column I think.....
Why do airlines insist on charging you 100 per ticket if you want to change the day of your departure 30 days in advance? I could see charging me a day in advance, but 30 days in advance? I am sending my lady on a trip to Vegas with her best friend, and they wanted to stay an extra day, so I call and give them two extra days, changing their reservations at Mandalay Bay and their tickets with Continental......Turns out her friend can't stay two extra days, so I call back within the hour to change the ticket with Continental again, and they want to charge me again? Why? To offset all those lost sales for that seat on the plane for that hour? Ridiculous. Why exactly did the goverment give them bail out money after Sept 11? Because they were the only ones hurt?
2) I used to be a huge console game fan...I had an Atari, a ColecoVision (with an Adam computer!), an NES, a Genesis, a S-NES, and I even had a Neo Geo and then a 3D-Oh-No system....(and I finished second in the Columbus John Madden Football championship in 1991, original version, had a friggin extra point blocked by Reggie White at the end of the game!)....anyhow, since then I did have a Playstation as well, but most of my gaming time since then has been spent on computers.....I go to E3 every year, so I look at all the console stuff, but I have to tell you, today I was going to buy Jedi Knight at the VASTLY overpriced EB, and I see some kid playing a baseball game on the gamecube...HOLY CRAP! Every single player looked just like their real-life counterparts! Mike Mussina's crazy delivery from the stretch, Craig Counsel's 140lb stance, etc....This looked much better than anything I have seen on a PC baseball game...I am playing the wrong games, or is this way ahead of any PC baseball game?
