You can find them as low as $327 now on the net (+ about 8 bucks shipping).

Which brand did you guys get and where from.

I ordered an ATI from gamestop.com but it hasn't shipped yet.

It is an ATI 9700 Pro (OEM). I used www.pricewatch.com to find it. I just built my new system last night so the card will go in tonight or tomorrow when it arrives.

I'll let you guys know how everything works. This will be my first non-nVidia card since I retired my 3dfx Voodoo 2 some time ago. I'm interested to see how the drivers/stability work out since I've heard mixed reviews of ATI in this area. You've already seen the benchmarks so I'll spare you..but I will let you know how the drivers work out.

I'm just waiting on AMD to actually ship some XP 2400's and my new system will be complete!

I got the retail version from local compusa store. I was hoping to get the card to run in AGP8x mode in my Abit SR7-8X motherboard with SIS648 chipset, but I kept getting BSOD. I took this card out for a few days and had plugged my TI4600 card back in. I then decided to plug in my Asus P4T533-C motherboard and see if the card will work. It has worked flawlessly(even though it is in AGP4x mode). I have played QuakeIII with 1600X1200 resolution, smoothvision at 6X, and Anistropic setting to 16X. Great frame rates.:) From what I have heard, there are no games that will take advantage of AGP8x yet until Doom III or Quake4. Hopefully by then Abit will have a newer bios and ATI will have better drivers.

I love this card.:)
