my puter is too loud

so i've got:

ASYS 8654BW Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply

Intel Pentium 4 3 Ghz 530 Prescott 800MHz FSB LGA 775 Processor

and the retail heat sink.

It is really really loud. what should i do? is there a quiet fan for the p 4?

Or, it could be your northbridge chipset cooler.

yup, replace the Intel HSF. I have the 7700 and my system is relatively quite. Now heat, that is another issue with Prescotts.
