My pursuit for MORE MORE MORE!

Just assimilated a P4 1.8 to work part time (nights and weekends) and just bought an XP 1800 to replace my Duron 900 with. Hmmmm. I need to find a cheapy mobo and HD for this Duron now.

I did something similar... got a new AXP 1700+ (o/c to 2GHz or 2400+) with Epox 8RDA and DDR SDRAM, and put ye olde 800MHz Duron with its motherboard and RAM in the case that formerly held my 500MHz Celeron. Now the Celeron processor, along with its motherboard, RAM, and PSU are sitting caseless and diskless next to me on the desk, begging to have more money spent on them so they can turn into a working system. 😉

Unfortunately, I recently found a good deal on a laptop (some Compaq unit in decent condition, with 700MHz cpu and 128MB RAM - not sure on HDD specs - for US$450!), so if I do get enough money to spend some on computer stuff, that's where it will be going. 😱

Just bought some ram to go along with it. Does any one need a Duron 900 and some PC 1600 DDR ram to go with it?

Well an update here of sorts. i just finished putting a 1.3gig tbird in my linux machine so I now cut a little over 2 hours off each WU but it may get better! I ordered myself a new 1700 T-Bred. This one is supposed to OC very well, the markings are JIUHB:0307VPMW I was reading about these clocking well over 2 gigs with air cooling because they run at 1.5 vcore. So this will go in my main rig that is also getting another 512 of PC3200 ram. The 1800XP TBred that I am using now will go in the garage to replace my 2000XP palo chip and the 2000XP will be help onto for when I can another mobo and HD, hopefully one with onboard nic and video so all I have to do is hook up a HD (which I may have in the garage somewhere) and it will be ready to roll. Anyone got a cheap mobo in mind like this that will hopefully be able to oc a touch as well! Thanks.
