1 WD 36gb raptor sata
1 MXtor 300gb sata HD
1 mxtor 120gb uata HD
sony 16x cd-rom

that's about all i need to note, i doubt fans will be a problem...
any suggestions on what power supply will be good? looking for a reasonable price also, but i think i can find one on my own...

The question you need to think about is why your PSU blew up.

In all the years I have been using PCs the only time a PSU has failed on me is when some paricularly conductive dust caused a bit of a smouldering problem. But it is worth making sure that it was the PSU at fault and not what it was connected to that cuased it to fail, otherwise you will just blow up the next PSU you hand in.

You don't need a massively powerful PSU for that kit. Some where in the region of 400W will be more than sufficient.
I currently use an Enermax Liberty which is very good.

Do a bit of a search on PSUs in the forums here, there are a great many Polls and debates over the merits of various manufacturers and indeed individual products.

Cheap POS PSUs will blow just to piss you off.

350W from a good brand is plenty. If you feel like saving pennies then the 400W FSP on newegg for <$50 is hard to beat, otherwise the Seasonic S12 380W is rather nice.

You need strong 12v rails; which the Forton, Seasonic and Enhance all have.

Personally I'd go with the 330 or 380 watt S12 but that probably dosn't surprise anyone 😛.

Enhance ENP-5140GH @ ewiz through Froogle FTW! I have a $5 Ultra X-Finity 500W as my backup PSU in case the impossible odds of my Enhance ENP-5150GH fails.

Good rails? LOL

You can't go wrong with the Enhance. If you have to go cheaper, then I'd pick the FSP400-60GLN. Even cheaper? Go for the Ultra X-Finity after rebate from RS.

So which one did you own? X-Connect or X-Finity? You know they're two different PSU lines right? X-Connect is the module line w/ the problems. X-Finity is the improved and non-module line.

sorry, xtra post, but i usually dont think it's a dusting problem, i clean my comp out about every 4 months...
