my ps3 shutting down

Good day gents. Anyone that can help me. My ps3 slim just shut down. Now if I switch it on then the green light comes on. Then it stays like that for about 4 seconds then all power turns off. I then have to switch it on again but it keeps doing the same thing over and over. Any advise on this will be appreciated
 
Hold down the power button to turn it on until it beeps, that should reset the settings, if that doesn't work then I don't know.
 
which version of ps3 do you have? fat; slim or super slim? its very rare for the super slim to ylod; but the slims and fat......nope....that sounds exactly like what you have......
