I would say any Wal-Mart because you do not have to wait outside in the damn cold and every wal-mart around the country should get ABOUT the same amount of PS3's which should be 10...

Who told you that the closer walmart will only get 2? That's definitely wrong.

I recommend going to costco or sam's club. They will be getting playstations, but not nearly as many people will be camping there, so you're more likely to get one regardless.

There was an article saying that lesser know retailers like Sears (for gaming at least) should have some & you probably don't have to wait in line.

Costco may not be getting any. I remember when 360 came out, the one nearest to me didn't have any.

This is gonna be funny...

You all know what's going to happen... Nigerian scammers are going to have the winning bids on every PS3 on ebay. Then, after filing a non-paying bidder, then relisting, it's going to happen again and again and again, til finally no one ever manages to sell one for a profit. But, by then, enough will be produced to eliminate the shortage. Meanwhile, Sony has gotten a TON of free publicity, artificially increasing people's perceived needs for getting one (newspaper pictures of people camping out in lines, reports of them selling for thousands of dollars on ebay).

I would say go to wal-mart like at least 12 hours in advance because usually they set out chairs for you to sit down in and as long as you stay in that chair you get a ps3 like they did with the xbox 360

Not possible. Between the SuperCenters and the normal stores, they have 3276 stores in the US as of Oct 31st (per Walmarts investor website). This doesn't include the 574 Sam?s Clubs and 110 Neighborhood Markets in the United States.

So Walmart is getting 300+K of the entire 400,000 Sony is sending to the US?

so they have like 4000 stores. at 10 per store thats only, 40,000, i.e., 40K, NOT 400K. so, i guess they could have 10 or so.

my cousin works at Walmart, and the one where he lives only got 4 xbox 360s when it came out.

circuit city opens at 8am on release day....first come first serve.

if you want one THAT BAD then I guess you can camp out there the night before. enjoy.
