Ok I recently bought a ps2 slim (used from Microplay), Bought it only for playing dvd's and my old ps1 games. 30 day warranty is over of course, here is the situation:
- Brand new dvd, no scratches
- The one ps2 game I bought works flawlessly
- old ps1 games work without problems
Finally got around to renting a movie a little while ago and it didn't work, fortunatly I saved my old dvd player and we got by with that, was hoping it was just the one dvd (had minor scratches) so I ignored it. Today we rent another movie, this time its fresh out of the plastic with perfect surface, pop it into the ps2 and I get the 'no data present' message or whatnot. Is this something one can fix at home? I'm so frustrated......
Thanks if anyone knows what may be the issue or helps out
