Well some of you may remember that I was dumped right before I was going to propose. It turns out she was just scared and we talked it out. I can't say I blame her, I was scared too. Everything is fine now. I feel so much better that we both admitted to being nervous. Yeah she could have been a little more open to me about it, but I hadn't expressed my feelings of nervousness either. Now we are on a level playing field.

BTW She said,"Absolutely, yes!"

Yeah more than likely. But at least she won't be AS childish about it this time. Oh and thanks.

Sorry but I give you three years max. Sh!t, I'll send you a small gift on your 3rd marriage anniversary.

If she was that unsure, err, 'scared' about your future together you guys are already headed in the wrong direction. I think you guys should have a loooong engagement to re-evaluate if you are making the right decision.

Quickly scanning the previous thread I think you knew you guys were doomed for a break-up and you thought that proposing would be the best way to head it off.

Seriously I don't thiny ANYONE with a successful marriage ever dated someone who broke up with them out of nervousness that thay were going to be proposed to.

Good luck however...

change their mind about being married ????? that's a red flag. My wife might have changed her mind about what to serve or the table arrangements but not about her decision to get married. Any hesitation at that point and you might as well start an alimony fund.

Breaking up with someone is not a normal reaction to being nervous about a relationship. My guess is she'll change her mind again before the wedding. She's flaky.

wierd.. I'm only 20... in a serious relationship but... I dunno. I remember a girl I was dating a year or so ago who, when we had problems, would afterward talk about marriage. She wanted me to join the military and us have a gung-ho happy life thereafter... we broke up like 2 months after that..

sounds to me like she/you are just trying to avoid the breaking up part
