My primary hard drive is "moaning"

So the last few day's i've noticed that my primary hard drive is making a "moaning" noise. Is this drive about to quit on me?

Honestly though, yes it may have issues. I would recommend you back up your data immediatley

That's why you always store your p0rn on an external drive. LOL. Anyways, back up the data and run hdd diagnostic utilities to find out why.

Moaning or whining is usually a bearing. Backup to another media soonest.

Thanks guys. I've already started backing up my data. And by the wayt my p0rn is on my 2nd HDD LOL

haha, i knew "moaning" was the wrong word to use but it really the only way to describe it. It a Westren Digital 200gb

I dont know why it isnt apparent, but any question of a drive status can be answered to almost a certainty by downloading and using the specific manuf test utility from CD or floppy, and using the LONG test
