my power supply made a clicking noise and after i was downloading drivers my pc just shuts off every time

after every time i try to boot it up it just boots for a second and then shuts off

i tried unplugging all the cables and putting them back in but nothing helps can someone please help me i dont know what do anymore

i have a 600w evga 80+ gold rated power supply

Buy one? Or take your PC to a local PC repair shop?

I'm not sure what else you can do if your current one is likely not working properly.

Guessing the clicking is a relay. It might be detecting a fault and then shutting down. It may or may not be repairable, if you're not comfortable working on electronics I'd just buy a new one. Though to troubleshoot further and rule out the PC itself you could try to run it outside the PC to see if it does the same. There's two pins you need to short in order to turn it on. Green and black if I recall.
