my power supply, can I run 8800GT?

Hi

My computer setup

AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core 4400+
2 gig of ram
160 gig HD
asus M2A-VM mother board
20" acer monitor
Qrius 450 watts Power supply. (+12v = 18.0A)

can handle the 8800 GT video card?

yes, you are playing with fire in a big way. I got an antec earthwatts 430 at the egg for 29.99AR a few months ago, and I just read that a corsair vx550 is only $65 right now. Both of those should be fine, though if you can get the earthwatts 500 for a good price try it instead.

The EVGA website says a total of 22A to 26A is required on all combined 12V rails. If you have only 1 12V rail at 18A that is not enough for the system with a 8800GT.
